FAQ and Tips

Here are some frequently asked questions and a few helpful tips we have learned over the years. Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

  1. Send out invites in plenty of time, 2-3 weeks in advance. Write on the invite if you have an entertainer coming as parents will try even harder to get there on time. Kids arriving during the show can be a huge distraction. Free invitations to download in “Extras”
  2. Morning parties are very popular for parents with smaller children as it allows for nap times.
  3. Communion season is May and is very very popular so book early to avoid disappointment, particularly if your little one is celebrating their birthday in May and you hadn’t factored in Communions.
  4. Some schools don’t like invites been handed out in case any of the kids are getting left out so handing out after school is advisable.
  5. Try and create as much space as possible for the entertainer in the room.
  6. The entertainer will require a table and 2 chairs for the face/arm painting.
  7. Food can take up so much time during the party and you may miss the show, missing your child’s reaction. Try and prepare some of the food in advance. Ordering a few large pizzas can cut out any cooking. Capri suns or little water bottle are great as they won’t spill all over the floor.
  8. The best time to serve the food is when the face painting is taking place as this allows all the kids, except 1 who is getting their face painted, to be occupied as it is a 1 on 1 activity.
  9. Depending on the length of party, 2, 2.5 or 3 hour party we would suggest coming 15-30 minutes after the party is due to start to allow everyone to arrive.
  10. Make sure there is 15-20 minutes at the end to do the cake.
  11. Party bags/sweet cones are best left in the hall and handed out as the kids leave.
  12. If you are having a party in a venue or public place Little Laughs has Public Liability Insurance, please click here for a copy of our insurance certificate.
  13. Booking deposits – we require a €50 non refundable booking deposit, this can be sent by bank transfer or bank draft.
